Terms of Service

Draft — to be finalised before launch.

Who we are

SAWT'IT is a trading name of [COMPANY NAME] Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number [NUMBER], registered office [ADDRESS]. Contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].

What we do

We help you claim the compensation an airline owes you when your flight is delayed, cancelled or you're denied boarding, under UK Regulation 261 (UK261) and EU Regulation 261/2004 (EU261). We pursue your claim as your authorised representative. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice.

Checking is free

You can check whether you're owed compensation for free, with no account and no obligation. Any figure we show is an estimate based on the information you give us.

If you ask us to claim for you

When you ask us to pursue a claim and sign our agreement, you authorise us to act on your behalf with the airline and, if needed, with dispute bodies and the courts. This means: you let us handle the claim and won't separately pursue or settle the same claim while we're on it; the airline pays the compensation to us; we take our fee and pay you the rest; and the information you give us is true and accurate, and you haven't already claimed or been paid for the same disruption.

Our fee — no win, no fee

We only charge if we win. If your claim succeeds, we keep 25% of the total recovered and pay you the remaining 75%. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing. There are no upfront fees and no hidden charges — our fee comes out of the amount recovered, never separately.

[Optional clause to confirm with solicitor: If a claim has to go to court to succeed, our fee is 35% of the amount recovered instead of 25%, to cover the extra work and cost — and we'll always tell you before taking a claim to court.]

Out-of-pocket expenses

Where the rules allow, we may also reclaim reasonable expenses you paid because of the disruption (such as meals, hotel or transport). These are recovered on top of the compensation and form part of your share, subject to our fee.

Getting paid

Once the airline pays, we'll transfer your share to the bank account you gave us, normally within [X working days] of cleared funds. It's your responsibility to give us correct bank details.

Your right to cancel

You can cancel within 14 days of signing our agreement at no cost. [If you ask us to begin straight away and we succeed within that period, a proportionate fee may apply — to confirm with solicitor.] To cancel, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].

Your information

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy. By using SAWT'IT you agree to that policy.

What we're not responsible for

We act with reasonable care and skill, but we can't guarantee any claim will succeed — that depends on the airline and the facts. We're not liable for losses outside our reasonable control, and nothing here removes your legal rights as a consumer.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we'll do our best to put it right.

Governing law

[These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, with your local consumer rights preserved — to confirm with solicitor, especially for EU customers.]

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here when you sign.
